Cards for Heroes - Unscripted Sketches 18

I finally figured it out! I've been wanting to enter cards in some of the sketch challenges out there (and there are LOTS! and they are FUN!), but it seemed wasteful to make a card just for the sake of making a card. Then I thought, why not make the cards and then send them off to Cards for Heroes? Now I am on a mission and it feels so good!!! Isn't it funny how being on a mission gives you theme music? LOL (insert Mission Impossible music here)

This card is for Challenge 18 on Unscripted Sketches. There are some really neat examples and entries out there... you should check them out!

This was a nice, simple sketch and it looked just perfect for a little embossing (my latest favorite toy). I dug out my Stampin' Up! designer series paper, added some Night of Navy and a little Rubbahdultry to quote Jan, one of the bloggers I follow. In case that sounds too naughty, let me explain... rubbahdultry is a non-SU stamp :) I embossed the present and popped it up with dimensionals.

Whatcha think? Is some soldier overseas gonna be happy to have this card to mail to a loved one? I sure do hope so!!!

Come play along with the sketches! You'll enjoy it! How did that old commercial go? Try it, you'll like it!

Until next time!
Mandy

Mandy this is a GREAT take on our sketch. Love that image and the colors so bright. To then be sending this out for Cards for Hero's is just perfect.
Thanks for being Unscripted! Hope you play along with us next time!
